LAHORE - A late blitz from Haider Ali , who smashed 33 off just 16 balls, lifted Islamabad United to a formidable 202/6 against Multan Sultans in the seventh match of the PSL 10 at Rawalpindi Stadium on Wednesday. Opting to bat first, United rode on solid contributions from the top and middle order. Opener Farhan led the charge with a well-crafted 53 off 36 balls, including seven fours and two sixes, while Colin Munro added firepower with a 48 off 25, hitting four fours and three maximums.
Despite losing wickets in the middle overs, United’s innings gained late momentum with a brisk 49-run sixth-wicket stand between Haider Ali and Jason Holder. Haider’s explosive cameo featured three fours and two sixes, before falling on the final ball of the 19th over. For Multan, Chris Jordan was the pick of the bowlers with 2/41, while David Willey, Usama Mir, and Ubaid Shah claimed a wicket each.
