Proptech is an affiliate of Filipino Homes Group of Companies. “This is more than just a competition. It's a platform for innovation,” said Anthony Gerard Leuterio, chief executive officer Proptech Philippines.
“We believe in investing in start-ups and nurturing new ideas. The future is digital, and we are committed to helping young talents create solutions that will move the real estate industry forward,” added Leuterio, founder and chief executive officer of Filipino Homes. Leuterio said winning teams would take home P30,000 for first prize, P20,000 for second prize, and P10,000 for third prize.
According to Leuterio, Hackestate participants won’t just code. They’ll analyze real estate problems, study their root causes, and design meaningful tech-driven solutions. They’ll also be encouraged to think creatively about how technology can simplify, streamline, and elevate property processes across the board.
Hackathon is also a launchpad for collaboration and career growth, aiming to connect students with industry professionals, potential employers, and fellow innovators. “This is a rare opportunity to build relationships, exchange ideas, and learn from mentors already shaping the future of real estate in the Philippines,” he said. Thirteen universities from Cebu are participating, including from the University of Cebu, University of San Carlos, University of the Visayas, University of Cebu–Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue, University of San Jose–Recoletos, University of Southern Philippines Foundation, and University of the Philippines Cebu.
As part of its commitment to global learning, PropTech Philippines and Filipino Homes regularly send teams to international competitions across Asia, ensuring that Filipino talent is always exposed to regional trends, innovations, and best practices..
