H Raja-led panel to steer BJP Tamil Nadu state in Annamalai’s absence

The committee would steer the party by coordinating everyone in line with leadership expectations, Raja said.

H Raja CHENNAI: As BJP Tamil Nadu state president K Annamalai is on a study trip to the UK, BJP's national leadership has formed a coordination committee to steer the state unit. The committee is led by national executive committee member H Raja . The other members are: vice-presidents M Chakravarthy and P Kanagasabapathi, state general secretaries M Muruganandam and Raama Sreeivasan and state treasurer S R Sekhar.

Talking to reporters at Kamalalayam, the BJP headquarters, Raja expressed gratitude to the national leadership. “The committee will steer the party by coordinating everyone in line with leadership expectations,” he said, refusing to take further queries from the reporters. The committee was set up as per the directions of national president J P Nadda.



The organisational appointment issued in the name of national general secretary Arun Singh, said the committee would hold discussions with the state core committee and take decisions about party activities. Each member will look after activities in one or two zones as to be decided by the state president and convenor of the committee. Taking to X, former Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan extended wholehearted wishes to the committee.

“Let’s all work together, and achieve,” she said, emphasizing the importance of collective effort. She added, “Let us restore Tamil Nadu adhering to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”.
