“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him,be glory both now and forever. Amen,” 2 Peter 3:18.

Stagnation is suicidal in the journey of life. Man was created to grow; growth is in stages, we can grow slowly, rapidly, physically, academically, financially, socially, economically, among others. The day anything stops growing, it begins to die.

This means that; either you are growing or you are dying. Nothing grows and dies at the same time. God’s desire is that you grow.

In life, we are all used to the word: ‘aging and old age.’ What is aging? It is defined as being or appearing old; the word old could also mean facing off, becoming outdated. You know people retire when they can no longer re-fire.

There are several theories to aging, longevity and death. The Britannica gave an in-depth insight to the theories of aging. It described aging as: “Aging, progressive physiological changes in an organism that lead to senescence, or a decline of biological functions and of the organism’s ability to adapt to metabolic stress.

” Most scholars disagree on the authorship of second Peter that may not be our worry now. Enabling Grace And Power For Endtime Harvest Ephesians 3:7 says: “Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.” Exodus 23:25 says: “And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water, and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

” Let Us Consider The Following Words: • Enabling: is to make alive, active, or activate • Grace: The Greek word for grace is Charis, and there’s no question of its importance in biblical theology. Charis appears 116 times in the New Testament. There is a lot about grace in the scripture because it is the message of Jesus Christ.

The Strong’s Concordance defines it as “graciousness, benefit, favour, gift, good-will, thanks, or grace.” It is especially used for a kindness or favour bestowed on someone who is ill-deserving, such as of a master toward his servants or of Holy God towards sinful mankind. Charis is used over 150 times in the New Testament and is most often simply translated as “grace,” but has also been translated as “favour,” “thanks,” and “pleasure.

” The first word ‘Charis’ can be understood as favour. The Gospel of Luke records Gabriel telling Mary: “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favour with God,” (Luke 1:30). We also read that Jesus “increased in wisdom and in stature and in favour with God and man” (Luke 2:52).

Grace means unmerited favour. It means acceptance, and giving. Grace is free in the sense that something done or given in grace is done without expecting to receive anything in return.

Grace is not dependent on the way it is received, the moral goodness of the one receiving it, or even that person’s ability to rightly say, “Thank you.” The only thing grace is dependent on is the generosity of the giver. Every other religion in the world boils down to a sort of cosmic barter system.

People bring their good stuff to their god, whether it is good actions, good money or good sacrifices, and in exchange their god gives them some of its good stuff. Not so in Christianity. As a grace-based belief system, Christianity is built solely on the extravagant goodness of God.

Nothing in us motivates God’s grace and nothing we do can pay Him back. The only part we play in grace is receiving it: “For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift—not from works, so that no one can boast,” (Ephesians 2:8-9). • Power Ability to act or produce an effect.

Possession of control, authority, or influence over others (a) physical might (b) mental or moral efficacy (c) political control or influence. • Endtime The days immediately before the Second Coming of Christ. • Harvest Soul winning, missions and evangelism.

What Is The Difference Between Leadership And Position? Leadership is an art (skill) and an act (action). It is defined by dictionary.com to mean: “the position or function of a leader, a person who guides or directs a group,” which is synonymous to administration, management, directorship, control, governorship, stewardship, hegemony.

” This x-rays leadership to be far from kingship, dictatorship, and alienated from selfish ambition. Leadership is more of service than being served. Leadership is influence, not titles.

Someone said: “A person who thinks he is leading, but no one is following is only taking a walk.” • Venerable Stephen Wolemonwu is the Rector,Ibru Ecumenical Centre, Agbarha-Otor, Delta State (08035413812).
