Greenwich Council has announced its bin collection dates for the Easter bank holiday period

The bin collection dates for Greenwich over the upcoming Easter bank holiday weekend have been announced. Greenwich Council has confirmed that residents who have their bins collected on Fridays will still have their bins collected next Friday (April 18). However, all collection dates in the following week have been pushed back a day to allow for the bank holiday.

Therefore, residents who are due to have their bins collected on Monday, April 21, will now have their bins collected on Tuesday, April 22. This daily postponement continues throughout the week until bins that are due to be collected on Friday, April 25 are collected on Saturday, April 26. The collection schedule will return to normal on Monday, April 28.

Greenwich Council has also stated that due to fewer staff working because of the bank holiday, collections will likely be delayed. The council said that if some bins aren't collected on their allotted day, they will catch up 'as soon as possible' so residents should continue to put their bins out each subsequent day if their collection is missed.
