Per NFL’s Ian Rapoport, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said in a postgame conference that there is “obviously a high level of concern” about Love’s injury. Prior to leaving the game, Love had completed 14 of his 22 pass attempts for 196 yards and an interception.

Backup quarterback Malik Willis replaced Love once it was announced that the QB would not be returning to the game. Willis has started in two games this season with the Packers due to Jordan Love being out due to another injury. Love left Week 1’s loss against the Philadelphia Eagles with a sprained MCL and missed two games before making his return in Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Malik Willis Enters for Jordan Love In that time, Willis had stepped up and took on the role of starting quarterback, and proved to be very reliable. In his two starts, he completed 73.5% of his passes for 324 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

LaFleur had nothing but positive things about Willis and his second half performance on Sunday. “You can’t say enough great things about Malik Willis, the job that he’s able to do to go in there,” LaFleur said. “The moment’s never too big for him and he made a lot of big time plays in this game, not only with his arm, but his ability to, had a big pickup with his legs.

Just really proud of our guys.” The injuries and inconsistencies with Jordan Love definitely are becoming a concern, especially with the injuries being so close to one another. Love is expected to undergo testing on Monday, and shouldn’t miss a lot of time.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that there is “optimism he avoided a long-term injury.” Love Might’ve Re-Injured Knee With 11 minutes left in the first quarter, Jordan Love had landed a bit weird after throwing an incomplete pass, appearing to re-injure his knee that kept him out of those two games. He was examined on the sideline, but returned to action despite sporting the noticeable limp on certain plays.

Per @kuhnj30 on the radio broadcast, Packers trainers were looking at Jordan Love’s left knee following that first series. Love limped off. — Zach Kruse (@zachkruse2) October 27, 2024 The biggest question left unanswered is if Jordan Love is going to be ready for next week when the Detroit Lions come to Lambeau Field? The Lions showed up and showed out in their 52-14 win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

Their record improves to 6-1, first place in the NFC North. The Green Bay Packers are in second with a 6-2 record after Sunday’s win. This article first appeared on Gridiron Heroics and was syndicated with permission.
