Great photos show what pupils got up to in Bolton's schools 50 years ago

Here’s a collection of photos which are going to leave a number of Looking Back readers feeling old. They were all taken at various primary schools in and around Bolton 50 years ago this year. It’s hard to believe that the youngsters smiling for the camera then are likely to have children and even grandchildren of their own now.

The photos show the many facets of school life in the town from official presentations, to fun events and even the odd emergency. Perhaps you were at primary school in 1975. If you were, look carefully and you might spot yourself or know someone who is on one of the pictures.
