St Neots celebrates new milestone in the provision of adult care services as Eaton Grove Community opened its doors.

The new day care centre, dedicated to supporting the elderly, provided a service which is spearheaded and run by Bloom Care Solutions working from existing and highly reputable care home, Nelson Lodge. Operations director at Bloom, Zachary Dawson, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing the vital role The Eaton Grove Community will play in providing a safe, welcoming environment for elderly residents to connect, socialise, and access care tailored to their needs. His hopes are that the new offering will help to "combat social isolation for those living alone as well as combatting existing carer burnout or breakdown for those still living with and being cared for by loved ones, offering a day’s respite".

Home manager of Nelson Lodge, Jeanette Whitbread, said she was "delighted to be working closely with the new initiative" adding that she felt "it is a vital and much- needed service in the area". Adding a ceremonious touch to the occasion, St Neots mayor Cllr Richard Slade was amongst the attendees and performed the ribbon cutting, marking the official commencement of operations for the new service.
