Grand National 2025 tips as experts report late 'wave of interest' on one horse

Grand National bookmakers have released a new update ahead of the 4pm race at Aintree, with William Hill reporting "a wave of interest" on Stumptown overnight. Stablemate Perceval Legallois is also gaining a huge amount of backing, with a number of tipsters and racing experts coming out to tip him on Saturday. Among them are the Liverpool Echo's Chris Wright, who said: "Perceval Legallois is a solid jumper, usually travels well and although he has yet to go this sort of distance, he suggests that the move up in trip should bring out even more improvement.

He can progress again and land a first Grand National for Cromwell and McManus’ retained rider Mark Walsh." As for Stumptown, he was a winner of the Cross Country Chase at last month's Cheltenham Festival and is now just behind favourite I Am Maximus in the betting (6/1). Iroko is the other well-fancied choice among the favourites.



Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “There’s been a renewed wave of interest in Stumptown overnight. He’s now a single figure price of 9/1 in what looks like a wide-open National. Stablemate Perceval Legallois is also popular, backed into 9/1 from 10s, while Bravemansgame and Broadway Boy have been popular outsiders.

“Coko Beach has attracted some early support too at 40/1 from 80s. He’s running in his fourth Grand National and is a striking grey, so he’s sure to have his followers.” The full confirmed runners list is below.
