Grand inauguration of 2025 Christmas Jubilee celebrations

1 2 Prayagraj: The inauguration of the Jubilee Year 2025, celebrating the birth of Jesus, took place at St Joseph College with several cultural and religious programmes on Sunday. The programme began with a prayer dance by the nurses of Nazareth Hospital. Most Rev Louis Mascarenhas delivered the welcome speech, said: "The Jubilee Year 2025 provides us with the opportunity to celebrate 2025 years of the birth of Jesus.

This occasion inspires us to be more dedicated to serving society." Following this, cultural performances took place, including a dance drama by the students of Bethany Senior Secondary School, Naini, and carols in Hindi and English by the choir group of Nazareth Hospital. St Mary's Convent, Prayagraj, and Christ Jyoti Convent Mandarmod also captivated everyone with their dance performances.



Professor Rev Samuel Noel from Allahabad Bible Seminary said: "Christmas is not only a celebration of the birth of Lord Jesus Christ but also conveys a message of love, compassion and peace. The Jubilee Year provides us with the opportunity to embody this message and become pilgrims of hope in society." The highlight of the programme was the release of the Jubilee song composed by Father Jacob Bona.
