The five-bed single-storey home, which was featured on the property show Grand Designs in 2015, has a gym, sauna, and swimming pool included.

A multi-million-pound home in Horsham, West Sussex, is reportedly the biggest ever built on Grand Designs. If you cast your mind back to 2015, Channel 4 viewers might recall Pavello, an enormous one-storey house of nearly 6,000 sq ft. The build was born from the minds of Clinton Dall and Brighton designer Desmond Hammond.

When the episode aired, Dall was a managing director of Dall Cleaning Services and bought the plot for approximately £850,000 in 2013. He then splashed around £1.5 million on his new home despite budgeting for £750,000, with an absolute limit of £1 million.

The five-bedroom home has all the luxuries, including a swimming pool, gym, sauna, and luxurious walk-in shower. There was also a wing for four bedrooms – all of which have en suite bathrooms. The other wing of the house contained the guest room and a study.

The most impressive aspect of the build was the vast living room with floor-to-ceiling windows, which prompted Kevin McCloud to say was “large enough to park four fire engines in.” He also described the building as "modernist architecture at the top of its game" and "I’m slightly awestruck by this – it’s so breathtakingly beautifully done." The property is set on five acres of land in West Sussex.

So, what's happened to the build since it appeared on the show? Well, it recently sold for a whopping £4 million. Clinton decided to sell up in 2023, reportedly telling Grand Designs Magazine he "moves after a year or two as I get bored." In 2017, Pavello was listed for £3.

75 million. It was then officially sold for £3.45 million at the start of 2019 but last year it went up for grabs again, for an eye-watering £4 million.

Grand Designs continues Wednesday at 9pm on Channel 4..
