The three-year programme, run in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, is designed to help aspiring chefs gain experience and knowledge. The apprenticeship is structured as a block release at levels two and three and focuses on developing expertise in food production, service and pastry. A highlight of the course is the intense final assessment, which sees students undertake a six-hour practical examination at the college.
The graduation ceremony was attended by chefs and representatives from establishments like the Langham, the Arts Club and Claridge’s Hotel. Antony Carr, executive director of HE and skills at the college, said: "The specialised chefs apprenticeship is a truly transformative programme that equips students with the very highest level of culinary skills and industry experience. "We are immensely proud of our graduates and their remarkable accomplishments.
"Their dedication, passion and talent will undoubtedly shape the future of the culinary world." Most graduates continue to make an impact in the industry, securing roles as executive chefs and esteemed members of RACA. Alumni have built careers across the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand and Europe, highlighting the global influence of the programme.
