m., Osoyoos student Zephyr Peltier will be running from Oliver’s Sen'Pok'Chin School to Osoyoos Elementary School. It’s not the first time running for the youngster, but this year he’s hoping to do it faster.

According to Zephyr’s mom, it took him four hours to complete the route the last two times he completed the same run. “He's hoping to do it in three this year,” Shannon Peltier said in an email to Castanet. Zephyr wrote the following letter about his plans to run: Hello, my name is Zephyr, and I am a Grade 7 Student at Osoyoos Elementary.

This will be my third year running from Oliver to Osoyoos for the Terry Fox Foundation. I first did the run when I was 9, then again last year at age 11. I want my last year running it at the elementary school level to be my best year yet.

In total with the generous donations received through my fundraising efforts I have raised $4,000 over my two runs. My goal this year is to raise $3,000 to make it a total of $7,000 over the three runs. Last year because of my efforts I received a Terry Fox Shirt signed by Ryan Reynolds!!! I was so honoured.

I was gifted this in front of my school. I do this run because Terry is my Hero, and I want to honour his legacy by helping others. Please help me in my efforts by going to my fundraising page below to donate through my name for cancer research.
