FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield Farmers Market returns May 1 with fresh produce and goods. The market will be open 3 to 7 p.m.
every Thursday through Sept. 26 on the County Green. Shoppers will find fruits, vegetables, artisanal baked goods and more from a diverse group of vendors.
The Farmers Market will also offer fun, family-friendly activities, live music and more. The market will accept WIC (Women, Infants, and Children), Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers, and CalFresh-EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) so all can have access to healthy, fresh food, regardless of income. The Dine Out Downtown program also returns this year.
Participating restaurants will offer Farmers Market customers 15% to 20% off their entire bill (excluding alcohol) on Thursdays during market hours. To get the discount, visit the market, grab a Dine Out Downtown postcard, and present it to one of the participating restaurants.
