Gopalganj Water Supply: The public drinking water systems in Gopalganj's urban areas have completely failed, leaving residents and visitors with no access to free, potable water. People are forced to rely on bottled water to quench their thirst due to the lack of government-provided drinking water facilities in public spaces and squares. Gopalganj, which gained district status about 50 years ago, once had a well-functioning water supply system with a water tower and piped water reaching homes.
Public taps were common in the 1980s, providing easy access to clean drinking water.
