The Goose Creek Police Department has been awarded the FBI-Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (FBI-LEEDA) Agency Trilogy Award, making it the third agency in South Carolina to receive this honor. The award recognizes the department’s completion of an advanced leadership training program designed to enhance public safety leadership and management. The department’s entire command staff completed FBI-LEEDA’s three-part leadership series, which focuses on ethics, command decision-making, community policing, crime reduction, implicit bias, public trust, and emotional intelligence.
The Agency Trilogy Award is presented to law enforcement organizations that demonstrate a commitment to excellence in leadership and professional development. "The FBI-LEEDA Trilogy program has helped further shape the leadership and integrity of our command staff," said Goose Creek Police Chief LJ Roscoe. "As an agency, we are not stopping there.
We are committed to having our supervisors attend all the FBI-LEEDA classes to better prepare them for their current job and help them as they apply for promotional opportunities. With the knowledge acquired through FBI-LEEDA, we’re eager to employ these skills to ensure the highest standards of service to the Goose Creek community." FBI-LEEDA’s courses are designed to enhance leadership and management skills among public safety professionals.
Instructors are experienced law enforcement leaders who tailor their expertise to the needs of each class. "It is an honor to present the Agency Trilogy Award to the Goose Creek Police Department," said Michael Robinson, Chief Operating Officer of FBI-LEEDA. "This award is a testament to their dedication to the communities they serve, and we look forward to the continued impact the department will bring to the community.
" Since the inception of the Agency Trilogy Award, 190 law enforcement organizations nationwide have received the recognition after completing the Supervisor Leadership Institute, Command Leadership Institute, and Executive Leadership Institute. The FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (FBI-LEEDA) is a nonprofit organization with more than 10,000 members worldwide. It provides training to law enforcement professionals and works to improve management practices within public safety agencies.
FBI-LEEDA offers more than 450 training classes each year, covering topics such as leadership integrity, internal affairs, media relations and diversity. For more information, visit FBILEEDA.org or follow FBI-LEEDA on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X @FBILEEDA.
