Google's carrier, which is now called Google Fi Wireless, has turned ten years old, believe it or not. To celebrate the occasion, it's launched a new affordable plan. It's called Unlimited Essentials and is $35 per month for one line.
It gives you unlimited calls, texts, and data, but high-speed data is capped at 30GB per month. The other two plans have also been slightly revamped. Unlimited Standard (previously called Simply Unlimited) is $50 per month and gives you 50GB of high-speed data (up from 35GB), as well as 25GB of high-speed tethering (up from 5GB).
It also continues to offer coverage in Canada and Mexico. Finally, Unlimited Premium (formerly Unlimited Plus) is $65 per month and has 100GB of high-speed data (up from 50GB), and 50GB of high-speed tethering. This also includes data in 200+ destinations, six months of YouTube Premium for free, 100GB of Google One storage, and "connectivity for tablets and laptops at no extra cost".
Speaking of things you get for free, there's also advanced spam call blocking, VPN by Google, and "full connectivity for select smartwatches". Google Fi Wireless has also launched data-only eSIMs for your tablets. 5G data roaming is now live in 92 countries and territories.
There's even a deal that nets you the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel Watch 3 for free - for the phone you get $300 off instantly and then $699 back over 24 monthly bill credits. After the phone ships you'll get a code for $100 instantly off the watch, with $349 coming to you over 24 monthly bill credits. This offer is only available until April 29 or while supplies last.
