Google’s next Pixel phone lineup will kick off with the launch of the affordable A-series later this year. The upcoming model may be called the Pixel 9a, which will sit at the bottom of the Pixel 9 family.
While Google has not said anything about the Pixel 9a yet, a fresh leak has claimed that the next Pixel A-series phone will feature a redesign that will let go of the visor. Pixel 9a’s marketing and promotional materials have also emerged and they hint at the features. Pixel 9a design Tipster Evan Blass has leaked what he claims are the official renders of the Pixel 9a on X (formerly Twitter).
In these photos, the Pixel 9a appears to have ditched the visor in favour of a regular camera island with likely two cutouts. The Pixel 9a could set the precedent for the more expensive and feature-loaded members of the family, expected later this year. The Pixel 9a can also be seen featuring four colours, namely, Porcelain, Peony, Iris, and Obsidian.
Pixel 9a features According to the promotional materials leaked by Blass, the Pixel 9a will come with Gemini AI integration that will allow users to perform certain actions. The Pixel 9a will likely have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, allowing the device to work underwater for some time. The Pixel 9a is also expected to have a 6.
3-inch OLED display and the Tensor G4 chip, which is also expected to power the bigger Pixel 9 series phones.
