Google has also confirmed that the Pixel 9a will get 7 years of OS updates and patches along with the Pixel Drop updates. The lower price of the Pixel 9a (compared to 16E) has also come with some intriguing cut backs. Reports say Google has used an extra small Gemini Nano AI model that is not capable of working on-device which is a handy privacy way to use AI on mobile devices.
So, the Pixel 9a is reportedly not able to support AI features like Pixel Screenshots, Call Notes and more because of its 8GB RAM onboard..
