Google has shared more details about yesterday’s April 2025 update for the Pixel Watch, including how not all devices have received Wear OS 5.1 yet. For starters, the changelog reveals two fixes for BP1A.

250305.019.W 7 : Resolves an issue where some users were unable to modify or add watch faces from their Pixel Watch mobile app.

Resolves an issue where some users were seeing delayed notifications on their watch This OTA is rolling out to “all Pixel Watch devices currently on the March 2025 software update,” specifically BP1A.250305.019.

W 3 (which is Wear OS 5.1 based on Android 15). As always, Google says the “rollout will continue over the next few weeks in phases depending on carrier and device type,” with the repeated taps on the check for update screen working.

After updating, you remain on the March 5, 2025 security patch level. Some users “did not receive the original March update” and Google “will be rolling out an update in the coming weeks, more details to come.” Those users are still on Wear OS 5 (based on Android 14) from November 2024.

On March 4 , Google first rolled out Wear OS 5.1 to the Wi-Fi Pixel Watch 2 and 3. The LTE variants, as well as the original Pixel Watch, received the update starting March 18 .

We were initially able to download and install that second wave of updates immediately, but Google looks to have stopped offering it after a few days. Our Pixel Watch 3 45mm LTE has yet to receive that mid-March or April OTA. People in the same boat have to wait for an “update in the coming weeks,” which is curious.
