Bumrah, who was retained for Rs 18 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auctions, last played a competitive match on January 5 against Australia. Star Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who has been out of action these days due to a lower back injury, has started bowling in the nets at NCA. In a video going viral on the internet, the 31-year-old pacer from Ahmedabad can be seen bowling.
Bumrah last played a competitive match in January 2025. He bowled in the first innings of the fifth Test played against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground but didn’t come out to bowl in the second innings. He was included in India’s provisional squad for the Champions Trophy 2025 but was later replaced by Harshit Rana due to a lower back injury.
Bumrah’s return to the nets has ignited hopes of him making a comeback soon. He was dearly missed by Mumbai Indians in the last two IPL 2025 matches played against Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans..
