ITV's Good Morning Britain saw a number of changes to the presenting panel as they welcomed a new week.

A Good Morning Britain star has announced that she is making a return to the ITV show. Marverine Cole took to her social media account, on X (formerly Twitter) to share that she would be in the "hotseat" all week. Sharing a glamourous selfie backstage in the ITV studios , the breaking news anchor wore a red patterned blouse with soft make up and a sleek hair do as she wrote: "Back in the newsreader hotseat @GMB all this week.

Hope you can tune in from 6am on @ITV @ITVX." While Marverine is currently a firm fixture on GMB, she has an extensive career in broadcast journalism and has worked as a reporter, producer and newsreader for many of the UK’s leading broadcasters, including Sky News, BBC 5 Live and BBC Radio 4. The update comes as regular main hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls are taking a break from the show, with Richard Madeley and Charlotte Hawkins stepping in on Monday's show.

Today is the first day that Ed has been absent, with him presenting without his regular co-star, Susanna, last week. She announced prior to her absence that she would be taking a couple of weeks away from the popular breakfast TV show. On April 3, Ed, 58, said: "Thank you Susanna, we will see you in a couple of weeks time.

" Susanna confirmed her absence as she said: "Yes, see you in a couple of weeks. I am going to go and spend some time off. I will be back, do not fear.

Good Morning Britain, though, is of course back tomorrow at 6am." Ranvir Singh stepped in to replace her temporarily. Susanna made her big break when first presenting BBC Breakfast alongside Bill Turnbull and Charlie Stayt , before making the switch to ITV to co-host with the likes of Ben Shephard , Piers Morgan , Richard Madeley, and Ed Balls.

She also showcased her dancing skills on the 11th series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013, finishing as a runner-up alongside her partner Kevin Clifton. This is a breaking live TV story, the Showbiz Express.co.
