Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan's much-awaited film Good Bad Ugly hit theatres today, April 10. As expected, his excited fans have been quickly thronging cinema halls to catch its first day, first show. Initial reactions suggest that Good Bad Ugly has been a mass entertainer that is strictly meant for Ajith Kumar's fans. While many found the movie's first half to be gripping and fast-paced, the second half started in an impressive manner, courtesy engaging flashback sequences. However, it soon lost momentum and felt stretched towards the end.
Several viewers also lauded the action-packed sequences which featured Ajith Kumar in a vintage look. However, many also stressed on the fact that the film lacked a strong plot and emotional depth. They felt it relied heavily on build-up moments and looked repetitive.

The film also features Prabhu, Prasanna, Arjun Das, Sunil, Rahul Dev, Yogi Babu, Shine Tom Chacko, Jackie Shroff, Priya Prakash Varrier, and Raghu Ram in key roles.
With such an impressive cast, the film offers an interesting blend of mass appeal and unforgettable moments. An early review referred to the film as a 'One Man Show' by Ajith Kumar. Umair Sandhu, who claims to be part of the Overseas Censor Board, had issued his first review after the special screening.
He took to social media and called it 'MINDBLOWING' and a 'CRAZY ACTION Thriller'. The film - which was originally called AK63 - was officially titled Good Bad Ugly in March 2024. The shoot had wrapped up by early December, and post-production was finished in record time.
The film's music was composed by GV Prakash Kumar and its cinematography handled by Abinandhan Ramanujam..
