The Vegas Golden Knights look to continue their strong run at home as they host the Ottawa Senators on Friday at T-Mobile Arena. The puck drop is scheduled for 3 p.m.
as part of the Golden Knights’ traditional Nevada Day matinee. The Senators (4-2-0) beat the Utah Hockey Club 4-0 on Tuesday. Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said the team offers a different challenge than in previous years.
“Their numbers are interesting. Offensively, the analytics are down, but their defensive numbers are excellent,” Cassidy said. “So they made an identity change there, and maybe the style of play.
They’re still a dangerous three-line team. Their fourth line will bring some energy.” Head Coach Bruce Cassidy provides an update on William Karlsson's status.

This has been a challenge for the Golden Knights thus far in the early season, but Cassidy said the team is working diligently to fix that area. “Rush has hurt us the most of anything. We need to clean that up,” Cassidy said.
“Every day, we’re working on it. We’re showing video. We’re trying to build it out in practice.
Some of it is tough to replicate because teams will do different things off the rush.” Ottawa’s most significant question will be whether goaltender Linus Ullmark will return. He’s been out of the lineup since Oct.
12 with an undisclosed strain. Ullmark skated with the team during Thursday’s practice, but there was no word on whether the goalie would play. The game also marks the return of former Golden Knights forward Michael Amadio.
Amadio spent three seasons with the Golden Knights, including hoisting the Stanley Cup in 2023. “It’s a little weird being in this dressing room for the first time being back,” Amadio said to team media . “It was great.
(Vegas) has a great fan base. They love the team. The fans bring some good energy every night.
