Gold prices reach new highs; Rs 4,160 rise in three days

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Gold prices in the state have surged again. The price of one sovereign increased by Rs 1,480, reaching Rs 69,960. The cost for one gram of 22-carat gold is now Rs 8,561, while one gram of 24-carat gold is priced at Rs 9,339.

The previous day, one sovereign of gold had risen by Rs 2,160 to Rs 68,480. On Wednesday, the price had gone up by Rs 520. Over the past three days, the price of one sovereign of gold has risen by Rs 4,160.



The earlier dip in gold prices had brought hope to those planning to purchase jewellery. However, the increase in gold prices has been influenced by factors such as US President Donald Trump's tariff war. Additionally, silver prices in the state also saw an increase today.

The price of one gram of silver is now Rs 107.10, while one kilogram costs Rs 107,100. Yesterday, the cost of one gram of silver was Rs 107.
