Gold cash burgled from cop’s house in Godhra

Vadodara: The residence of a State Reserve Police (SRP) constable in Godhra was burgled in the early hours of Thursday when the officer was out on duty and his wife was not at home. The constable, Jagdish Parmar, filed an offence with the Godhra B Division police station on Friday, stating that his wife locked their room in Block B-21 of the Group 5 SRP headquarters on Monday and left for their native place. Parmar is a resident of Orwada near Godhra.

The theft amounted to Rs 3.91 lakh and included gold and silver jewellery as well as cash. Parmar said that at 6am on Thursday morning, he received a call from the SRP headquarters informing that his room was broken into.



However, Parmar was in Surat at this time and asked his wife to check. Parmar's wife wife informed him that jewellery she kept in a box was missing..
