The likes of Mary & Giles, along with couple Michael and Sally and their sons Jake and Harry, have had calls for them to be axed though the last couple of series. Now these complaints have extended to other members of the cast, including Pete and Sophie. The siblings have been mainstays on Gogglebox since 2017 and are one of the more popular cast members on the show.

In the most recent episode, the various cast members of Gogglebox reacted to programmes such as The Piano and Gary Barlow's Wine Tour among other things. Some viewers seemingly weren't pleased that Pete and Sophie's reactions were being cut to so often. Posting on X (formerly known as Twitter), one person wrote: "Is this now the Pete & Sophie show?" Another shared similar sentiments, commenting: "Can we have bit less of Ellie & Izzi, Pete & Sophie and the Kents? There are others we could be watching.
