According to The Hollywood Reporter , Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens is in talks to reprise his role as fan favourite character Trapper for the sequel to the 2024 film. Story details are being kept under wraps for now, but Legendary teases “several new human characters alongside the beloved and iconic Titans Godzilla and Kong as they face off against a cataclysmic world-ending threat.

Dave Callaham is penning the script, with franchise newcomer Kaitlyn Dever of The Last of Us fame on board as its first human actor .
First introduced in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire , Trapper is easily identified through his loose Hawaiian shirt over a t-shirt. The veterinarian starts out by doing dangerous dental work on Kong before joining the other characters on an expedition into Hollow Earth, home to various gigantic and monstrous creatures, including the Skar King and Shimo.
