Ludhiana: A self-styled godman and his aides duped a man of Rs 10,000 cash, two gold rings and a bracelet by promising to double the stash using his “powers.” Police filed a case against the unidentified accused on the complaint of Pardeep Kumar Bhardwaj of Mohalla Ram Nagar, Khanna. The complainant said that the accused approached him to inquire about the address of a gurdwara.

Later, a man and a woman came on a bike and told him that the man had “spiritual powers.” The victim gave them his rings, bracelet and money.
