Will Go Youn Jung be able to escape the subtle torment inflicted by Kim Hye In on “Resident Playbook”? A spin-off of the hit series “Hospital Playlist,” tvN’s “Resident Playbook” is a new drama depicting the realistic and relatable hospital lives, growth, and heartwarming friendships of residents at the Jongro branch of Yulje Medical Center. Towards the end of the first episode of “Resident Playbook,” viewers were surprised by the unexpected appearance of a familiar face: resident Myung Eun Won (Kim Hye In) from “Hospital Playlist,” who was now a fellow at Yulje Medical Center. Ominously, the episode ended with Myung Eun Won asking for the name of first-year resident Oh Yi Young (Go Youn Jung) before becoming briefly lost in thought, as if contemplating what to do about her.
In the upcoming second episode of the drama, Oh Yi Young will suffer the consequences of catching Myung Eun Won’s eye. Newly released stills from the episode show the first-year residents looking anxious as they sit together at a table—and despite the patient charts laid out in front of them, all eyes are on the phone in Oh Yi Young’s hand. Meanwhile, a weary-looking Oh Yi Young stares blankly at her phone, worn down by the guileful Myung Eun Won.
Regardless of who she’s talking to, the bold Oh Yi Young never holds back from saying what she wants to say—so it remains to be seen how she’ll react to “villain” fellow Myung Eun Won. The second episode of “Resident Playbook” will air on April 13 at 9:10 p.m.
