Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid was quick to sing her colleague Kate Garraway's praises following her frank admission last week. During Monday's show (September 9), Susanna and Ed Balls were back at the helm discussing the latest news and entertainment stories in the UK and across the globe. Later on in the programme, Susanna and Ed spoke to actor Richard Armitage about his National Television Award nomination.
At the close of the interview, Ed and Susanna mentioned Kate was also up for an award. Kate has been sharing her personal struggles with viewers after her late husband Derek contracted COVID-19 in 2020. Telling fans at home that they can vote for Kate to win the award, Ed said: "You can also vote for our Kate Garraway's Derek story which is also up for an award this week, so that would be good.
