Globe's participation will focus on reforestation efforts, community engagement, and support for local conservation activities."Protecting the environment requires consistent action and collaboration," said Yoly Crisanto, Globe's Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer. "Through our climate initiatives and partnerships, we are helping make sustainability a way of life for more Filipinos."The commitment was announced in time for this year's Earth Hour, with Globe calling on individuals, businesses, schools, and workplaces to join the global movement by switching off non-essential lights for one hour. Beyond the symbolic gesture, Globe urged the public to adopt everyday energy-saving habits, such as unplugging idle appliances and using stairs instead of elevators."Globe recognizes that sustainability must move beyond corporate walls," Crisanto added. "We are committed to working with government agencies, NGOs, communities, and individual citizens to create a greener, more resilient Philippines."She said that the company continues to welcome new partnerships to accelerate environmental action, emphasizing that the fight against climate change is a shared responsibility requiring corporate leadership and grassroots participation.
