RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — With Dreamville expected to bring huge crowds to downtown Raleigh this weekend, businesses in Glenwood South are hoping for a big boost.

Last year's festival brought around 104,000 people to Raleigh. For businesses like Raleigh Beer Garden, the big weekend will continue the momentum of other large events such as the NCAA Tournament."We're expecting a crazy crowd coming through this weekend," said Daniel Satut, manager at Raleigh Beer Garden.

"I feel like everybody after Dreamville is looking for something to do and looking for some place to go, he continued. "This is one of the best spots to come, definitely for Dreamville."We've been so busy and it’s just been great.

The enthusiasm for all our customers, staff, everybody is excited to be here."While this is the final Dreamville, it won't be the last time the city hosts a major music festival. Thursday, city officials announced a four-year contract to replace the popular event beginning next April.

"J. Cole has brought so much for the city," Satut said. "We're excited something is coming to replace it.

"The city said the 2023 festival generated more than $145 million in economic impact..
