Glenn Powell has been under the spotlight after rumors swirled of potential romance in his life . The actor was seen all smiles in the streets of New York City on Tuesday, April 1. Glen wore an unbuttoned green suede shirt and slim-fit dark jeans as he strolled to an event for his organic condiments line Smash Kitchen.
This comes after there have been romance rumors between Glen and Sydney Sweeney. Pictures of the Euphoria star and Glen surfaced as the two were seen together at a Dallas restaurant called Joe Leo Fine Tex Mex, according to Deuxmoi. The two were in Texas for Glen's sister, Leslie Powell, wedding .
Sydney called off her wedding plans to Jonathan Davino after the two had been engaged for the past three years after the film producer popped the question in 2022 following a two-year-long romance. A source has told People that the two have split but neither of them have confirmed the rumors. Glen also appeared at the TODAY show on the Jenna & Friends segment where he addressed the Sydney spotting.
Jenna asked: "The wedding caused a little bit of a stir. Did that surprise you?" He replied: "Timing is everything." Glen added, "[Leslie] and Syd are obviously great friends and it was a hell of a wedding.
" Glen and Leslie's mother was quick to shut down the relationship rumors, confirming to the Daily Mail that they are "definitely not together." She added, "[There is] nothing going on behind closed doors. We love Sydney.
We’ve considered her just a really, really good friend. We all were together so much, and we haven’t seen her in a long time. She’s really a friend and we all enjoy her.
" Rumors first began when Sydney was accused of cheating on Jonathan when the two actors were filming and promoting Anyone But You. Sydney even joked about it during her Saturday Night Live open monologue. The two both dispelled the rumors and confirmed that they used the rumors to their advantage.
Glen told the New York Times : "The two things that you have to sell a rom-com are fun and chemistry. Sydney and I have a ton of fun together, and we have a ton of effortless chemistry. That’s people wanting what’s on the screen off the screen, and sometimes you just have to lean into it a bit — and it worked wonderfully.
