(Photo by Noel Vasquez/Getty Images)A mini Glee reunion happened this week, as stars Lea Michele and Dianna Agron visited Broadway to watch Darren Criss in a musical he’s starring in.Why were the Glee stars together?Michele and Agron watched Criss lead the cast of Maybe Happy Ending at Belasco Theatre in New York City (via People) this week.
Afterward, the trio took a few pictures, which Michele shared on Instagram along with a caption about how nice it was to get to see both of them.“Night out with my beautiful friend from high school to see our former classmate perform on Broadway,” Michele’s caption read, a joking reference to their time together on Glee.In a separate post sharing the photos, Agron also referred to the trio’s time on Glee, captioning it “WMHS FOREVER,” a nod to William McKinley High School, the school that Glee took place at throughout its run.
She also praised Criss in the post, and called the play “completely & utterly heartwarming.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lea Michele (@leamichele)Michele was one of the leads of Glee, playing Rachel Berry throughout all six seasons of the show. Agron played another lead, Quinn Fabray, for three seasons, and was a recurring guest for the final three seasons.
Criss joined the series as Blaine Anderson in Season 2 of the hit musical comedy, and was a main cast member from Season 3-6.Following their time on Glee, Michele went on to star in a number of other high-profile projects, including Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens series, the ABC sitcom The Mayor, and more. Michele is currently set to go on tour throughout North America later this year, where she’ll be performing songs from throughout her career.
Agron has also stayed busy after Glee. The actress starred in 2020’s Shiva Baby, and starred in the 2022 drama As They Made Us. Most recently, Agron has starred in the Netflix fantasy TV series The Chosen One, which served as her first non-English role.
Criss has also been extremely busy after his time on Glee. The actor broke out after his performance as Andrew Cunanan in Ryan Murphy’s 2018 anthology series The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, a role in which he was nominated for an Emmy and Golden Globe. Criss has also lent his voice to various roles, and played Superman across a handful of DC animated projects, including Justice League: Warworld and Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths.
