Yes, there’s still a chance you can go this year

Didn’t manage to book tickets for this year’s Glastonbury Festival ? Good news: the resale has now been announced. The festival, which this year takes place between June 25 and June 29 at Worthy Farm in Somerset, will see 200,000 revellers descend for a week of sun, music and excellent headliners. Of course, those tickets go quickly: this year, they sold out in just under 40 minutes, which makes the resale all the more important for getting a second bite at the proverbial apple.

Here’s what to know. The resale for coach tickets is Thursday 24 April, at 6pm, while the general resale is on Sunday 27 at 9am. Unlike the general sale, this time, people who manage to clinch some tickets will have to pay the entire amount up front.

That’s £378.50, including a £5 booking fee – and for coach, the price of the coach tickets will be added on, too. Simply go to the official website here ahead of the sale going live, and wait for it to open.

Be warned, though: you need to be registered on the Glastonbury system to be eligible to buy one, and registration for this year is closed. This year, Glastonbury debuted a brand-new method of booking tickets: a loading page. Instead of being faced with a landing page that automatically refreshes every 10 seconds, this time around viewers were automatically assigned a place in the queue when booking opened at 9am.

Refreshing the page would result in being automatically sent to the back of that queue, which means that for most ticket-buyers, the best option is to sit tight and wait, and have that ticket loading page open on as many different devices as possible. However, there are still a few basic tricks you can employ to improve your chances of getting in: namely, sitting close to your router to making sure that the internet is as fast as possible; making sure you have a credit card to hand, and getting all your team’s details (including double-checked registration numbers, names and postcodes) on a spreadsheet. This will make transferring the information across if (when!) you finally get through the work of a moment.

This year’s lineup was revealed back in March – with more names still being announced. However, we know the names of the main headliners: Neil Young, The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo will be playing the Pyramid Stage on Friday through Sunday. They’ll be joined by a great line up of talent, including Charli xcx and rapper Doechii, as well as Rod Stewart, Ezra Collective and Raye.

Basically, there’ll be something for everyone, as there always is..
