A family from have died in a horror crash on Tuesday on the M6 Northbound past Tebay Services. Cumbria Constabulary is appealing for witnesses following the fatal collision which saw five people dead at the scene and one child in hospital. Officers were called to the incident at around 4.
04pm on Tuesday, October 15. The horror collision involved two vehicles – a Skoda and a Toyota. The driver, a man, a woman and two children of the Toyota from Glasgow were tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Skoda, a man from Cambridgeshire was also found dead upon arrival. A third Glasgow child in the Toyota was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle with serious injuries. The families of those involved are being supported by specially trained officers.
The M6 Northbound reopened in the early hours of this morning (October 16). Officers are now appealing for any witnesses or information. Anyone with information relating to this incident can report online at , quoting incident number 146 of 15 October 2024.
