WORTHINGTON — Peyton Sachs took second place as the Lac qui Parle Valley girls golf team placed sixth on Friday evening at the Worthington Invite.Sachs is a sophomore who shot an 89, second only to Murray County Central’s Ava Johnson.Johnson, a senior who shot an 86 to earn medalist honors, led the Rebels to a first-place finish at the seven-team competition at Great Life Golf & Fitness Club.
Ten schools were represented.Fairmont and Worthington followed MCC’s meet-best 416 in the team competition. The Cardinals totaled 424 and the Trojans came in at 425.
LQPV scored a 460.Pipestone junior Vivian Brockberg rounded out the top three individuals behind a 94.Worthington InviteGirlsTeam scoring(1) Murray County Central 415 .
