The New York Giants and the Cleveland Browns both trade up for quarterbacks in this NFL mock draft.

Mock drafts continue to release, with changes being constant based on the latest rumors. One recent rumor that has been shaking up mock drafts is the potential for Shedeur Sanders to fall in the NFL draft towards the end of the first round. In the latest mock draft from Kyle Dvorchak of NBC Sports, he has that exactly happening, giving the New York Giants a chance to trade up and snag the young quarterback prospect out of Colorado.

More news: NFL Mock Draft 2025 4.0: Updated Prediction of First Round With Trades While it is unclear if Sanders will actually fall or not, if he did fall, pick number 26 feels like the absolute floor. In this mock, the Giants trade up with the Los Angeles Rams to grab Sanders, but even if this trade didn't happen, the Rams themselves are a candidate to select a quarterback.

The most interesting part of this mock is the Giants pair up Sanders with his college teammate Travis Hunter, both selected in the first round. Hunter goes third overall after Cam Ward and Abdul Carter in this mock. In this scenario, it seems most likely Hunter would play mostly at wide receiver, because it would be weird to draft both Colorado players and limit the amount they play together on the field compared to in college.

Another interesting part of this mock is the Cleveland Browns pull a similar move as the Giants and trade up for quarterback Jaxon Dart. They trade up to pick 29 with the Washington Commanders. Both the Rams and Commanders seem like potential trade down candidates, so these trade ideas aren't that unrealistic.

However, it is hard to imagine Sanders falling as far as 26 with the Pittsburgh Steelers currently in dire need of a quarterback at pick 21. They are likely banking on Sanders going in the top three, but if he doesn't they have some tough decisions to make.

In this mock, they settle for Armond Membou, an offensive tackle out of Missouri, but he was a right tackle in college, and the team needs a left tackle rather than a right tackle after signing Morgan Moses in free agency. That could mean a trade down is possible, which isn't typical towards the top of the draft. Overall, while it isn't clear how likely it is to happen, if Shedeur Sanders were to fall in the 2025 NFL draft, it would become much more interesting to watch for NFL fans.
