A home cook has shared the recipe she made for her boyfriend three times when he was feeling unwell – and while it might not cure a cold, it's packed full of vitamins to help you recover fast

TikTok user @_emilysworld revealed her secret weapon against the common cold: a homemade soup she whipped up "three times" for her boyfriend, which she swears by for its healing powers due to the wealth of nutrients it contains – and she's urging others to give it a try.

"It's comforting, nutrient-packed and perfect with some chunky slices of buttery bread ," she raved. Emily elaborated: "Packed with immune-boosting ingredients, this quick and easy roasted veg soup is the perfect pick-me-up when you're feeling under the weather! It's high in vitamin C and A, rich in antioxidants, and your gut will LOVE it". The soup also packs a protein punch with ingredients like butter beans and chickpea-filled hummus.



She then detailed the preparation process, instructing to "add a pepper, tomatoes, carrots, red onion, garlic, and butter beans to a tray". Next, she advises to "season with olive oil and salt, mixed herbs and chilli flakes," and then roast it all at "200 degrees for just 35 minutes". Then incorporate "hummus and balsamic vinegar," then "blend it all together with vegetable stock and water".

This results in Emily's "get well soon soup," which significantly improved her boyfriend's condition when he was feeling unwell.
