During a podcast Tuesday, MSNBC host Jen Psaki criticized Republican Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina for introducing a resolution aimed at barring biological males from using women’s restrooms in the Capitol. Mace unveiled the resolution on Monday, which would require that individuals in the Capitol complex use restrooms, locker rooms or other personal facilities that correspond with their biological sex.

This, in light of Democratic Delaware Rep.-elect Sarah McBride preparing to join Congress as the first member to identify as transgender. “ The Bulwark ” host Tim Miller brought up Mace’s resolution and reported remarks from Georgia Republican Rep.

Marjorie Taylor Greene suggesting she might get into a “physical altercation” with McBride if she used the women’s bathroom. Psaki told both lawmakers to “get a life.” (RELATED: ‘The Other Side Is Crazy’: John Kennedy Explains ‘Message’ Voters Sent To Washington ‘Experts’) WATCH: “Get a life, Nancy Mace and Marjorie Taylor Greene.

I mean, like this is the issue of the nation right now, is like another member of Congress using the same restroom? Wait till they hear there are unisex bathrooms in some restaurants — it’s going to blow their freaking minds,” Psaki said. “Why is this the issue in this moment in our country that Nancy Mace is trying to pass a bill on? That is a baseline question,” she added. “I know why, politically — she’s trying to, like, get her MAGA creds.

” Mace told a reporter on Tuesday that the resolution was in response to McBride becoming a member of Congress. “I’m not going to stand for a man, you know, someone with a penis is in the women’s locker room. That’s not OK,” Mace said.

“And I’m a victim of abuse myself. I’m a rape survivor. I have PTSD from the abuse I’ve suffered at the hands of a man, and I know how vulnerable women and girls are in private spaces.

” “So I’m absolutely 100% going to stand in the way of any man who wants to be in a women’s restroom, in our locker rooms, in our changing rooms,” she said. “I will be there fighting you every step of the way.” Mace on Tuesday also condemned death threats she has received in response to the resolution, including a threat from social media user “venuspeenis,” who said he condones murder and fantasized about bashing the representative’s head on a bathroom floor.

Mace became a rape victim at 16-years-old when a friend and classmate pinned her down as she protested, according to the Post and Courier. A biological boy wearing a skirt raped a female student in a girls bathroom at a Loudoun County, Virginia public school. The school concealed the incident from the school community and disputed that any sexual assault took place as a result of their trans-inclusive policies.
