The former Spice Girl has opened up about the playful secrets behind her “marriage pact” with husband Christian - and why they're stronger than ever. An exclusive source close to the couple tells New!: “Geri and Christian are determined to have fun and show how strong they are, it’s their marriage pact. They’re stronger than ever and have managed to bounce back from all of the scandal.



She wants to make that clear to everyone. Geri, 52, was certainly keen to show the world their lighter side in a new interview with The Times. Speaking to the newspaper, she whipped out a notepad of “fun” couple rituals, starting with: “I’ve made some notes.

“We walk the dogs together, we like walking,” she shared. “I bought him a goldendoodle for his birthday. I hid the puppy in a phone box and handed it to him.

We’re very much old-school and family focused.” Their home routine includes barbecues - “It’s a real man thing,” she joked - and even light-hearted bickering. “He’s very tidy.

I might leave things around, which makes him a bit cross.” They also binge-watch TV together. “We’ll find a series that we lock into.

I’ll try my best not to watch it when he goes away. I waited for him before finishing Severance.” She added: “We like playing games.

We’re quite silly.” But while life at home may sound all fun and games, the couple’s relationship has faced serious scrutiny in the public eye . In early 2023, Christian, Team Principal of Red Bull Racing, was accused of inappropriate behaviour by a female employee.

An internal investigation led by an independent barrister cleared him of any wrongdoing, and a subsequent appeal was rejected in August 2024. Just as things quieted down, Netflix ’s latest season of Formula 1: Drive to Survive brought it all back into focus. The series’ opening episode covers the scandal, including the moment anonymous screenshots of alleged WhatsApp messages were circulated to F1 insiders and the press.

Through it all, Geri stayed visible. At the Bahrain Grand Prix, she was seen walking hand-in-hand with Christian amid a media storm. In one scene, she turns to him and says: “The truth is you never know what life’s going to bring.

” According to our insider, that public display of unity was deliberate: “Though Geri's friends are telling her she doesn't need to prove anything to anyone, they know she and Christian do still have their struggles after everything that happened last year . She's taken a lot of inspiration from how Victoria Beckham has handled scandals with David over the years, she's standing by her man.' Rather than let it drive a wedge between them, it seems Geri and Christian have come out stronger - thanks in part to their focus on home and family life.

Away from the spotlight, Geri has embraced a quieter life. A bestselling children’s author with a film deal reportedly in the works, she’s swapped arenas for school runs and evenings in. “We prefer eating in - our daughter loves cooking,” she said of her family dinners.

Her daughter Bluebell, 18, from her relationship with British screenwriter Sacha Gervasi, plays a key role in their at-home life. Now studying English Literature at university, she often cooks for the family. Also at the table are their son Monty, eight, and Christian’s daughter Olivia, 11, from a previous relationship.

“The other two will clear the table for financial reward,” Geri laughed. Geri’s affection for her blended family is clear, and she confirmed Christian had formally adopted Bluebell. “It’s public knowledge,” she said.

Whether hosting a barbecue, walking the dog or enjoying games around the kitchen table, their Oxfordshire home is where the family unit thrives - grounded and united. That solidarity may be why fans were quick to raise eyebrows when Geri began using “Halliwell-Horner” on her books and appearances, fuelling speculation that all was not well..

. but she was quick to shut down the rumours. “That’s a load of crap,” she told The Times, holding up one of her books.

“It’s my writing name. I haven’t legally changed anything - Horner is the name on my passport.” For Geri, it’s strictly business - and a sign she’s not letting gossip impact her home life.
