You don’t need a time machine when you have the Photoshop skills of artist Ard Gelinck. The Dutch master has conjured a collection of celebrity creations that unite stars with a much more youthful version of themselves, including Brad Pitt and Paul McCartney. Ard said: “The reactions are mostly very positive from those who see my work.
People are moved and some find it mindblowing. “Some people want that kind of image for their self or want to give one to their friends as a present.” The pictures mean Wham! star George Michael gets to hug his younger self and Adele gets to meet someone like her.
Michael J Fox goes Back to the Future and Sir Paul McCartney Gets Back to sit beside a younger version of himself. Other stars to get the treatement include David Bowie, Morgan Freeman and Beyonce. Mr Gelinck said what started out as a bit of fun has now become a passion.
He said: “It started out as a funny experiment. I made the first one of myself with my brother. My parents loved that image.
Then I thought it would be fun to do something like that with famous Dutch people, which turned out to be very successful here in The Netherlands. “Then I also made images of famous people from around the world, mostly USA and UK.”.
