Many known faces attended the premiere of George Clooney’s play Good Night and Good Luck. George Clooney returned to the Broadway stage after decades on Thursday, April 3, with Good Night and Good Luck, the play version of his popular 2005 film. The event turned out to be a starry affair, as some of his former castmates and friends attended the premiere.

It was a special night for George, not only because of the play but also because it brought many renowned faces under the same roof to cheer for him. The 63-year-old was joined by his ER co-stars Julianna Margulies, Anthony Edwards, and Noah Wyle at the premiere. Another popular face at the premiere was Jennifer Lopez, who co-starred with George in the 1998 film Out of Sight.

JLo’s plus one for the event was her teen, Emme. Also making a fashionable appearance at the event was the Wolf actor’s longtime friend and business partner, Rande Gerber, who was accompanied by his wife, supermodel Cindy Crawford and their daughter, Kaia Gerber. Other celebrities who showed up for George were Pierce Brosnan and wife Keely Shaye Smith, TV personality Gayle King, actor Richard Kind, and television journalist George Stephanopoulos with his wife Ali Wentworth.

But one person that many were hoping to see was missing – George’s wife, international human rights lawyer, Amal Clooney. When asked about her absence, the Ticket to Paradise actor explained she was taking care of their twins, Alexander and Ella. “She was with the kids," George told Extra.

This comes amid rumours that George and Amal are facing challenges in their marital life. In December last year, a source close to the couple told RadarOnline that the actor’s political blunder has strained his relationship with Amal. Furthermore, as he decided to focus on his Broadway venture, it required him to spend six months in New York for rehearsals and performances, which also forced him to stay away from his wife Amal and their 7-year-old twins.

“The couple may be separated for weeks at a time, which would obviously be tough for them. They already went through a period of spending a lot of time apart, and it didn’t do the marriage any good. They’ve managed to iron things out in the past, and they’ll have to tackle this new hurdle together, and friends do hope they can, said the source.

More recently, in an interview with Good Day New York, the Ocean’s Eleven actor revealed that he was residing in New York City with his family and that his kids were also enrolled in a school in the city..
