General Hospital fans are continuing to take aim at "vindictive" executive producer Frank Valentini over Kelly Monaco's firing as they claim he "can't even say her name." In the past week, General Hospital fans have been airing out their frustrations over the soap's controversial decision to kill off Kelly Monaco's beloved character Sam McCall. Kelly's exit from the show comes as her character Sam passed away after suffering from cardiac arrest following a liver transplant.
On October 30, Sam met her demise in the aftermath of attempting to save the life of Lulu Spencer who was in a coma following an explosion. And now that Kelly's gone for good, many fans have placed the blame on Frank after rumors that she and the producer shared behind-the-scenes drama. Some viewers have theorized that Frank cut Kelly from the show as "retaliation" after he had an issue with what she said after Billy Miller got fired from the ABC show.

Ahead of Kelly's exit, fans launched the petition on October 9 and has already been signed by 540 fans and counting which is over half way to their final goal of 1,000 signatures. In addition to this, fans have also started a #FireFrank hashtag on X, formerly Twitter, where many fans have shared scathing messages directed towards the producer.
Fans have also been accusing Frank of "refusing" to say Kelly's character's name Sam in his X posts when discussing the current storyline. After sharing a screenshot of a series of tweets that excluded Sam's name, one user wrote: "Another one to add to Frank’s greatest hits of not saying Sam’s name. Vindictive.
Her name is Sam or probably Alicia and it’s @kellymonaco1 #firefrank #kellymonaco A compilation." Someone else picked up on his refusal to write her name as they posted: "Everything that happened to Who SAY HER NAME TOU COWARD #ISTANWITHKELLY #firefrank #boycottgh #jasam." In another pointed message to Frank, a third wrote: "We got here because a very petty vindictive man couldn't put his personal feelings aside and fired a beautiful, loved, extraordinary & very popular actress.
There's still time to reverse this." While a fourth added: "I agree wholeheartedly. Kelly is very much loved by her fans.
It makes zero sense to me how this hasn't been reversed. There was no legit reason why Kelly had to go. It was pure and simple vindictiveness.
