Gene Hackman & Wife Betsy Laid to Rest in Private Funeral, Nearly 2 Months After Deaths

Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa have been laid to rest. The late actor and his wife of 24 years were remembered by friends and family in a recent, private funeral service in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where they lived, according to People . The service came nearly two months after the couple passed away in their home .

Per People , Gene ‘s three children from his first marriage – son Christopher and daughters Elizabeth and Leslie – were among those in attendance at the private memorial. Gene and Betsy were found deceased in their Santa Fe home in late February, and there were many questions surrounding the cause of their deaths, as well as one of their dogs, who was also found dead. A week after they were found, their causes of death were revealed, and a possible reason for the dog’s death was also revealed.
