Simply put, Gemini Advanced users now have access to a memory feature.
Google has confirmed that Gemini Advanced can now remember key information about users. Users can feed specific information into Gemini’s memory to “provide even more helpful and relevant responses, tailored precisely to your needs.” Using key phrases such as “Remember [x]” or “Don’t forget that I’m [x]”, Gemini Advanced users can hold information in Gemini’s memory.
Thereafter, the Gen AI platform will retain this information while answering queries. How to access the information users have asked Gemini to remember? One of the easiest ways to interact with Gen AI platforms is through voice prompts. Gemini Advanced users can add or remove things from Google’s Gen AI platform in a natural conversation.
Key information bits such as access to certain modes of transport, hobbies, choice of food, preferred language, cost analysis, and other work-related aspects can be stored in Gemini’s memory. Besides Gemini Advanced, even Google One AI Premium users (English), have access to this feature. Google has put up a new page to add information that needs to be retained .
Needless to say, everything users have asked Gemini to remember will appear in this list, and users will have the ability to edit and delete information. Users can also access the same information from the Gemini Advanced website by tapping on Settings in the sidebar. Currently, this facility is not accessible in the Android or iOS apps.
