Geelong assistant coach Steven King has reportedly been hospitalised after suffering a medical episode at training on Friday. King is understood to have collapsed mid-conversation, with observers at GMHBA Stadium left shaken by the incident. According to Fox Footy reporter David Zita, the Cats have communicated that King is OK and ‘under observation’.

Fox Footy’s Will Schofield in early September said he ‘expects’ King to be named West Coast’s new coach , but as the Cats are in the midst of their finals campaign, that process could drag out.
