GB News viewers rage ‘what is happening’ as they threaten to ‘switch off’

GB News were faced with backlash as viewers took to social media to complain about difficulties with sound. Presenters Stephen Dixon and Ellie Costello welcomed Boris Johnson 's former advisor Oscar Reddrop when they began to suffer with technical problems. As they were discussing Chancellor Rachel Reeves ' recent vow to rip up the financial red tape in her first Mansion House speech, the audio noticeably dropped.

Although the camera was focused on the guest, he could be seen being given a hand-held microphone, which he resorted to using but tragically didn't work either. Unimpressed viewers inundated the news programme with criticism including @Lacey817766 who raged: “Who the f*** is your sound engineer??? Your technical competence is never professional but this morning it is beyond acceptable." @John DeCotta fumed: "What on earth is happening with the sound this morning? Surely you guys can get this right, it happens so often, amateur hour stuff. Background conversations, offscreen laughing, microphones in people's pockets, oh come on! Sort it out!!!" @ElleGee complained: "Sound problems, there's a hell of a lot of background noise (voices) now that you have your personal mics working.
