Gayle King & Lauren Sánchez Respond to Criticism About Their Blue Origin Space Trip: 'I Get Really Fired Up'

Gayle King and Lauren Sánchez are addressing the criticism they are facing for their Blue Origin space trip. On Monday (April 14), Gayle and Lauren joined Katy Perry , Aisha Bowe , Amanda Nguyen , and Kerianne Flynn to travel to space on the tech company’s first all-female flight. However, the expedition has faced criticisms from A-listers such as Olivia Munn , Olivia Wilde , and Amy Schumer .

Munn called the project “gluttonous,” while Wilde and Amy posted trolling comments on social media shortly after the event was completed. Now, Gayle and Lauren are defending their choice to board the New Shepard rocket. Keep reading to find out more.

I would love to have them come to Blue Origin and see the thousands of employees that don’t just work here but they put their heart and soul into this vehicle. They love their work and they love the mission and it’s a big deal for them,” she said. “So when we hear comments like that, I just say, trust me.
